MOAB UTAH IS FULL OF OUTDOOR ADVENTURE

Iconic Ancient Art

"Moab is home to Arches National Park and is within a one-hour drive of scenic Dead Horse Point State Park and stunning Canyonlands National Park. There’s more to Moab than just these parks, though, and local guides are there to help visitors discover all the activities the area has to offer."

WINTER IS OVER, IT'S TIME FOR A MOAB ADVENTURE

Moab Is Ideal In The Spring: Every spring people begin to flock to the small desert town of Moab, Utah to enjoy warm temps and every type of outdoor adventure you can imagine. By summer, the town is hopping and visitors fill the hot, sunny days with hiking, camping, climbing, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, and four-wheeling. Moab is home to Arches National Park and is within a one-hour drive of scenic Dead Horse Point State Park and stunning Canyonlands National Park. There’s more to Moab than just these parks, though, and local guides are there to help visitors discover all the activities the area has to offer. River guides take customers through the rocking-and-rolling “Moab Daily” stretch of the Colorado River as well as offering overnight trips on other nearby sections of the Colorado and Green Rivers. Local guiding companies also offer guided rock climbing, canyoneering, mountain biking, four-wheeling trips, or just helpful advice on the best trails or restaurants.

MOAB PROVIDES ALL TYPES OF OUTDOOR ADVENTURE

I have been recreating in the Moab area since I was in middle school and have watched the sunrise over Arches, participated in a 24-hour mountain bike race, clawed my way up the cracks of Indian Creek, explored the red rock of Canyonlands, and cooled off in the Colorado River. I have also been fortunate enough to have locals “show me the ropes” and as a result, I know the best places to camp on a crowded weekend, locations of pristine petroglyph panels, and where to get the world’s most delicious chocolate cake (Eddy McStiff’s) or score the most amazing second-hand costumes (WabiSabi Thrift Store). There’s a lot to do, though, and it can be overwhelming. Crowding is common, especially on weekends, and opportunities to adventure off the beaten path can be hard to come by. That’s where GuideGap comes in.
